Don't think of me as dead and gone

God took my hand
When you thought I had died

Or times of misery

I will always be with you,
However far you walk
I will always listen,
When you feel you need to talk

So when you are saddened
Or driven to despair
Take comfort from the knowledge
That I am always there.

One day soon I will share with you
The happiness I have found
And you will see life doesn't end
Six feet beneath the ground

Forget about graveside visits
And fresh flowers every day
A yearly verse in the papers
Is surely not the way

When there is something you want to say
Or you wish that I was near
Just talk to me like you always did
I promise I will hear.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY

Dearest dad, I just want to say..
Have a Happy Fathers day,
I know your in heaven and we are apart,
But you will always remain in my heart.

I look at your photo with such pride..
You were standing by me..
Side by side.

How I wish that I could turn back time..
And back in my arms you will be mine.
I miss you so much and my pain is so raw,
I still love you now like I did before.

I will visit your grave on Fathers day dad,
To thank you dad for the time that we had.
No other dad in this world could compare.
To all our memories and the love we shared.

I'm writing this poem dad and I feel so sad...
For god took your hand..
Why? 'cause you weren't bad.

You were the best father in the world you see,
And dad you meant the world to me.
So dad I just want to say..

i am home in heaven dear ones oh so happy and so bright there is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light all the pain and grief is over every restless tossing passed i am now at peace forever safely home in heaven at last did you wonder i so calmly trod the valley of the shade oh but jesus love illumined every dark and fearful glade and he came himself to meet me in that way so hard to tread and with jesus arm to lean on could i have one doubt or dread then you must not grieve so sorely for i love you dearly still try to look beyond earths shadows pray to trust our fathers will there is work still waiting for you so you must not idly stand do it now while life remaineth you shall rest in jesus land when the work is all competted he will gently call you home oh the rapeture of that meeting oh the joy to see you come

I'm glad i got to tell you how much you mean to me, i just never realised how much i would miss you.
Your passing was so sudden, but without suprise.
I held you hand when you took you final breath...you smiled...thats when i knew we had lost you. Our wonderful Dad, Grandad and Great-Grandad.
You left such a gap in out lifes,
but i am so proud to call you Dad and to of known a person as speacial as you.
